Prayaas:
Young students today are the thought leaders of tomorrow. It is imperative to imbibe the spirit of equality and inclusivity in the early years of youth, so that we all grow up into socially sensitive and responsible citizens. In the modern world, there is an urgent need to raise awareness about visible and invisible disabilities, in order to create an inclusive culture where everyone gets an equal opportunity to be able to grow into the best version of themselves.
It is with this vision, that a new Club at School was founded in 2024. The name of the club is Prayaas, which means “attempt”. The club aims to spread awareness about the needs of people with disabilities, and how we all can make our best attempt towards building a more inclusive and equal world. We also seek to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
Some of the activities that this club undertakes are as follows-
Organising talks and seminars for discussing and sharing ideas on increasing awareness.
Collaborating with various schools, institutions and NGOs for greater outreach.
Conducting poster making, drawing, caption-writing contests for promoting the ideas of inclusivity among our students.
Compiling and sharing content for awareness both through online and offline mode.
Working within Rajasthan and with other states to take this movement forward.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Arsh Choudhary
Prayaas (the Hindi word for “attempt”) is an initiative founded by Arsh Choudhary,
a student of Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur, inspired by a strong
belief that true inclusion begins with awareness, empathy, and action.
When Arsh Choudhary observed how persons with disabilities often face
systemic barrier not only in public spaces, but in access to education,
employment and legal justice, it triggered moment of reflection and
a personal resolve to take action and not just to speak about inclusion
but to work actively towards it.
Arsh brought together schoolmates, teachers, and changemakers
to conduct awareness programmes and inclusivity projects. What
began as a small awareness campaign in school gradually evolved
into a wider mission attracting passionate individuals, students,
professionals, NGOs, legal experts, and career counsellors, who
shared a common purpose.
Arsh Choudhary and his core team continue to build Prayaas as a
collaborative platform where volunteers with shared ideals come
together to raise awareness, enable inclusion, empower individuals,
and uphold justice for persons with disabilities.

“Prayass was born from the belief that true inclusion begins with action. Our mission is to empower Persons with Disabilties by creating opportunities, breaking barries and fostering a more accessible world “
